Need to watch on-line TV only on computer (1 Viewer)

Hi I just need to brush up my Swedish by watching on-line Swedish TV and their Swedish sub-titles for the deaf which is very helpful and useful.

I know about the plug in that's available on here but have been advised to upload MePo to do this first which I've done but no idea what to do next.

This is clearly a new user without a clue who mistakes upload for download. The plugin you are referring to is probably onlinevideos.
Start by installing media portal and the plugin mentioned and read some of the FAQ's/manuals. I'm sure you can figure it out.If not,ask again.

Some three weeks ago I had replied to the same question of you here and suggested that you read the Newcomer's information, which I had provided the link for.

In any case you need to install MediaPortal first, get it running and can then continue expanding it through specialised plugins such as OnlineVideos. The link in my original answer to you will guide you to more information, e.g. the MediaPortal Wiki and Setup Guides. Please take some time to read the information there. If you then still need support we will be happy to help you.

I understand that the information is quite technical, however, the setup needs to be done only once. Is there maybe somebody in your vicinity who could assist you in this process? If everything fails, there would always be the possibility to do a remote session (using software such as Teamviewer) and have somebody from the forum run the install and setup process for you.

Hi thanks yes I did get as far as uploading it OK but it soon became serious info overload in the time I had available. I'll need to set aside some time over Christmas then have a go....

The joys of being a non-techie as I'm a writer by profession so rather at the other end of the scale unfortunately !
