I removed the existing internal 80x20mm fan and covered the fan entry with a cover-plate, fitted a much larger heatsink to the output semiconductors (diodes), fitted 2 x 60mm fans (very quiet ones) to the end of the power supply case (so that the air would blow straight through and across the larger heatsink) and built a little controller that varied the speed of the fans depending on the temperature of the heatsink. </p><p></p><p>Now it is cool and very, very quiet....... <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite8" alt=":D" title="Big Grin :D" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":D" /></p></blockquote><p></p>
