Seems there is a way to get the Nero AVC Encoder filter to work in Graphedit. This is the Dshow filter that comes with Nero Recode2 that cannot be instatiated by the CLSID in Graphedit. The ACC and AVC Muxer work fine.
Anyway I found this on a forum somehere... all credit to the original finder.
- Change the graphedit.exe to Recode.exe
- Add the filter from the Video Commpresion Filters option.
Rightclick filter... AVC parameters box... Set to PSP or whatever... seems to work fine.
.... now for the tricky bit. So far I have created some MP4s in the PSP format (Magic Stick Option) don't now if this is true AVC in which case I think only PSP Fireware 2.50 + can use or if it's SD MP4. But I'm unable to decode them in anything on my laptop.. VLC doesn't like them. Graphedit is unable to recognise any filters.... even though recode decoding filters are installed. Could be a bad sign but I only spent an hour playing though so room for manouver.
I'll keep trying, but if I get this working the next steps are to access the filters through the DshowNet API> I'm guessing binding to the monkier. I'm not exactly good at C# but I can cut and paste from the Transcode and Dvrms2XXX examples. ;-)
Anyone with any experience welomce to comment. I'm guessing the tricky bit is figuring out how to access the filter parameters to set the output types ???
If we could get this going... AVC transcoding.... My PSP will be happy  !
