Synopsis:: -

I'm trying to launch MYTV for the first time on a clean installation and MediaPortal closes each time.
No obvious exception in the MediaPortal log, but the event viwer gives this:
Faulting application mediaportal.exe, version 0.0.0.0, stamp 44a91a3a, faulting module qdv.dll, version 6.5.2600.2180, stamp 411096a9, debug? 0, fault address 0x0000d419.

I've updated DirectX as this appears to be the problem are, but no joy.
Any help appreciated

That's a log from configuration.exe mixed up with normal MP logging. Do not open configuration.exe after you started MediaPortal to get a clean log.

Hehehe... the log is better, but despite of an old Hauppauge IR driver I don't see any problems in it (except that it doesn't seem to be complete, due to your crash I suspect?)...

changing the Codec has fixed it,

I'm just having problems with the machine hanging when going to full screen mode now, possible hardware issues?

many thanks

Could be an ATI/driver issue... Can't tell for sure, I prefer nVidia.

I moved this thread to the General Support section now.
