I’m a newbie to building a htpc, and just ordered the following equipment
I’m going to be running the latest version of medial portal
Can anyone please help me with the following questions?

1) Once I’ve built/ assembled all the components and start to in stall operating system do I have to do anything special to get the SATA hard drive recognizes and or installed

2) Does anyone have any feedback on my selection of equipment?

3) I would like to be able to run the Hauppauge WinTV HVR1300 to be able to get the following
UK Satellite Sky TV - via scart to RGB input
UK Digital Terrestrial Freeview
UK FM radio
Receive relevant EPG
I’ve heard that I can’t get all three at once? Unless I use media portal (which I intend to do) any help on this one

Argh, the silverstone LC16M. I have the same case, and I still regret spending all the money on that case
It looks nice, but there is just not a single form of sound dampening in a €260-case (without psu). This is just NOT exceptable.
Apart from that, there was a (known) building error which caused a elektronic short-circuit and costed me about 3 months to get a working case.
The remote is a blessing, it's a fine case. But one I would never buy again or recommend to anyone.

Now, your questions.
1) It's possible that you have to hit F6 while windows-setup is loading to add extra sata-drivers from a floppy, so make sure you have a floppy-drive at hand.

2) Well, you just saw my feedback about the case  The rest seems fine, no experience with the tv-card though

3) I would recommend buying a pc-card with CI-interface for your dvb-s. I'm currently looking for the same thing. I think you'll need an other tuner for dvb-t, unless the hauppauge supports this. FM shouldn't be a problem.
