What's the memory on the second box? I use my HTPC as a joint fileserver/terminal server as well as running MP 24/7. It has 2GB of RAM, though, so it can handle two or three user accounts logged on (thru Remote Desktop). But if you have two computers, why wouldn't you use both? :) Actually, they are the same tuners. The 500 is literally two 150 tuners, the advantage being (1) only one PCI card, which could help in a smaller case and (2) only one coax connection to your machine. In my HTPC, I have a 150 and a 500, both of which (read below) pump out the same quality picture, etc. Now, before purchasing a PVR-500, make sure you're getting a "Type A" card. Hauppauge claims they are only shipping those, so it shouldn't matter at this point, but if you get a Type B and the picture is horrible, don't be surprised. Get the Type A. Okay, I think that covers the warning. As for a remote: Microsoft's MCE remote is around $50, depending on where you get it. The button layout is convenient and it works out of the box (literally) with MP.
