Hi

Just upgraded my computer to a Intel dualcore system
Updated xp with all hotfixes and .net 2.0
I can install MP (newest release 0.2.0.0) but when i start config, it crashes as soon as it hits the scan channels (hauppage PVR250)

It worked fine on my older mainboard , but was slow.

Just for fun I installed GB-PVR 09713, and there is no problem with that, it installs and I can configure everything, san channels, and everything is working, so I don't think it's the hardware.
I would like to use the mediaportal as I realy like the look and feel of this, but can't get past the configure point of scanning the hauppage card.

Anybody experience the same problem?

Hi, read somewhere (might have been here) that you have to set MP to use one core of the cpu only, and then should work ok. how you do that I do not know, hopefully that information is supplied with your hardware.

dir you reinstall windows after changing the motherboard??

If not, the windows kernel could be the Uniprocessor one instead of th SMP, thus not having proper communication with the processor and causing all the problems

You can check the kernel in use by opening the device manager, going to CPU and see the description there.
