@mrbonsen, you are at least aware that a counter exists inside MediaPortal GUI view right? So you can just run MediaPortal in windowed mode (ALT+Enter) and have Windows Explorer open to do a 'number of folder contents', at least then you can add F3 searches for mediafiles, because otherwise NFO, IDX, SUB, SRT and other files would be counted and then there is no proper way to compare anymore. Not to mention samples, etc. With advanced F3 options you can simply state to locate all the files > 150MB so the count results will match the amount of movies you expect to have imported, or whatever search conditions fit your situation.

I spent almost zero time in MovPic config, unless I'm debugging IMDb+, so perhaps you could consider looking at alternative ways to obtain what you want, because a lot is possible if you get creative. That is not to dimiss your useful suggestions, but we are now in month #8 of no new MovPic MPEI release and official release is stuck on v1.5.1. It has made me stop caring and I just run from SVN myself, which currectly is v1.5.2.1528 that contains a ton of fixes needed to make imports work correct again (available since April) and new features added such as release_date, plot_keywords and collections (added a few months ago). Had to fix the Titan skin myself to make some features work, because the Titan skin developers can not add it themselves without an official version of MovPic available.

This is all hobby work for most developers and balancing free time can be a daunting task, so I fully understand that part. Hell I know this myself with how many plans I have for IMDb+ and what the end results ends up being, but at least the current version of IMDb+ is fully functional. My suggestion to add one or more co-owners was dismissed. That would at least ease the task of releasing a new version for any single person, and perhaps even revitalize the development of new features such as the one you suggested. I guess if all fails a fork is still an option.

    first thanks for an answer
I understand and also no problem with this information. :)
rely only on this quote (n)
As for your suggestion I think it's a good one and it's very easy to add as well. This is not in today's release but it will be included in our next bug fix release.
because feature has been declared as "no problem", I have sought
if this is not possible now. . . ok well no problem, now I have the answer and justification
