First off hello everyone and thanks for the great software. I was hoping someone could answer a couple of questions. I have checked out the manual, forums, everything i can and just cant figure out some things.
First let me explain my setup.
I have several computers in my home. I have my personal laptop, my "work" pc, my wifes laptop, and 2 "media" pcs. Once of the media centers is setup for my tv in the bedroom and the other is setup for the tv in living room. the living room is built well enough to handle hd content without a problem. The other pcs cant.
I have installed mp on both my media centers, work computer, and my laptop. They are all setup with a centeralized database that is being handled by my work computer. That computer is allways on, its my home data server and also is the one that i do all my backups and dvd rips on.
Everything works like a dream. I can do my backups on the computer downstairs and when i open up mp on any other computer everything is updated and plays perfectly. I have installed the netflix addon for my watch now movies and it seems to work. I have had a couple issues but for most part it does what i want.
If you add 2 different versions of a movie to the mp database is there a way to tell which one is which? For example i have a dvdr backup of ironman and also the bluray rip of ironman. Reason i have both is because one computer can play bluray but the others cannot. After i have added them to the database they show up the exact same when im going through my movie selection.
Anyway, sorry for the long post and thanks for any help.
