New install - cover art not loading (2 Viewers)

I've installed Mediaportal and almost everything is working ok, however, it can't load cover art for any movie - the IMDB update works OK and it brings up a list of movies, and I select the correct one, which is almost always the first - yet after this is still only shows 1/1 on artwork, and that's the horrible auto-generated four frames from the movie image (which is shown in the wrong aspect ratio to make it even more horrible).

Am I missing something important for figuring out how to get the cover art to load?

Thanks

Joe

    Thanks.

Here's the log file. I tried to update the information for 'Avatar' - but the same problem happens on every movie I've tried - the text information (eg summary) for the movie downloads fine, but it cannot find any cover art.

    Hi bonjo,

Could you either set Log Level to Debug or run the test with the "DEBUG" Start Menu and Select the 2nd option (Report a Bug to a plugin ...)? The log is not very detailed. It looks like a wrong image is loaded as there is an error message that the image has no extension.

Thank you for taking a look at this for me - I've attached a new log as requested.

This time I tried to update images for two movies, Burn after Reading and then Avatar.

    Hi Bonjo,

Sorry I am putting you through all this up & down, but I do need the other way. Please use the debug link and the second option. This way fanarthandler config should be included in the zip file as well.

If it is not (please check), could you upload the file in addition to the zip?

Just checked my setup, please just attach the file FanartHandler.xml (from your user config files). The debug process does not grab that file into the ZIP (I logged an issue for that as well).

I am having the exact same issue. I will read up on how to create a debug log and try to post it in case someone can help...

Okay here is a log file from me reproducing the same problem as mentioned. I can search the list of movies and find the right one, but when I select it, no pictures are added.

In looking through the log file, I found this after each time I tried to get the images; I wonder if it is related?

Hi, I'm having the same problem. No matter what I do to get the library to scan for movies and display cover art it doesn't work. It simply will not show cover art for very common and popular movies but it will successfully collect and download all movie details. Please help. Thanks

Get new IMDB script from videodatabase Configuration which will download cover for MP ~1.1.x. Cover fetch Mp code is broken until Mp version 1.1.x so the only way to get it for older MP version is via scripts.

MP 1.2.0B+ doesn't have that problem and have much more cover sources to choose + My Videos is greatly upgraded.
