Have been using current setup with Windows Media Center successfully (apart from Channel is scrambled, requiring restart of TV card), was looking at another option and found MediaPortal to my great joy!

Have checked out the wiki and it seems 3650 is supported, I did create a hybrid card out of the two dvb-t and dvb-c that appear in TV settings but have been unable to get any channel to scan (I did go to 3rd party and disable WMC service beforehand). Have tried different variations.

Wondering if it could be the CAM, it is a SMIT with a smartcard, both from Vodafone Iceland who bundle them together (the CAM I had was not usable with their smartcard, they want you to use their CAM). Could not get it to work in TV settings, got no feedback from it there.

Any tips greatly appreciated, once I can get the TV I'm probably migrating from WMC to MediaPortal!

So I keep getting a crash now when I try to search for a transponder, under country Ísland (Iceland).

This happens when I've set the DVB-T to priorrity 4 (top) and try to scan for channels.

error.log is empty but I've attached the two log files that work, with "mhw ctor" looking suspicious!

No one with the faintest idea of why I can't get the channels to work, when they work for Windows Media Center?

Bueller?

Windows Media Center started to crash a bit even with MP not running. Removed MP, guessing incompatible SMIT CAM, hoping it'll be sorted in later version.

Having spoke to "The Man" when it comes to TV tuners and MP here is what he had to say (summarized):
That tuner is not the best when it comes to non WMC software and to an extent for WMC itself. That being said yes it does work. You should be able to scan and view channels. With these logs so old it is hard for us to be able to say for sure what was going on. He believes that WMC had control over the tuner when you were using it in MP, and so it was locked.

All that being said, I would like to ask you to give MP one more try. Make sure WMC is completely turned off when doing the TV Server setup and channel scans. I am 90% sure it will work perfectly this time, but if not.. "The Man" (who we will call @mm1352000 here on out) will help you troubleshoot it and get you going. We are confident that you can use that tuner in MP, at least most of its features.

And to those of you thinking... WOW, where did this BUMP come from.... it's been 4 1/2 years....
Well, I figured 4 years was long enough for him to wait.
Kidding, he pointed out to us on FB yesterday that he gave us a shot back then and never got it working.
