new installed MP without skin? (1 Viewer)

hi, i just installed mp, and i was impressed how smooth everything was going. installation finished without problems. i setup MP on a completely new winXPproSP3 installation. all drivers for my hardware, a lenovo m52 box with p4 3ghz, intel 945g chipset, 2gb ram and a terratec ewx24/96 audiointerface, installed. installed fddshow recent version. installed complete mp with tv server on mysql, installed wmp11. i have no tvcard installed yet.

i finished the configuration both tvserver and mp configuration, and started mp. first it could not initialize the tvserver b/c the service wasnt started, but i did this manually, it now starts properly on windows startup.

then here is my problem: i see no skin, see the image:

any suggestions?


dxdiag says version is: dx9c version 4.09.0000.0904 everythinf seems to be fine with dx.

first i tried the default skin, 16:9, then 4:3, then i installed an extra skin. anyway, no changes.
i see only white... and temperature says its 10°C so it cant be snow!

ok! i just found out that i only have this problem in fullscreen mode, not in windowed mode...

Hi do you know what graphics you are running this with, if you do not know manual may tell you.

MP needs a DX9 graphics chip with 128mb of dedicated memory.

thank you very much, i just solved that issue 5 minutes ago! your right, the problem was that the graphic chip only had dedicated shared memory of 64MB... rising to 128MB solved the fullscreen problem.

btw, its an 82945g integrated graphics chip...

great piece of software, im already in love with it

also, i noticed that the original blue skin is definetely to heavy for this box. its very choppy. so, with the blackmyst theme i installed everything works very smooth, also fullHD seems to work without problems, i just tested a 1080p clip with 25000kbps stream, awesome.

christmas present for my parents seems to be safed... YES!
