New MP (1.1.1) causing hard reset? (1 Viewer)

Hello,

Long-time media portal user, I have never had an issue quite like this.

My system hard resets no BSOD no mini dump just, bang, back to post. I thought I would ask if anyone else is having any issues similar to this?

As soon as I stop media portal this issue goes away.

(it happens every 5-10 mins)

All I could get from event viewer bar, "your system has recovered from an unexpected shut-down" was "Windows successfully diagnosed a low virtual memory condition. The following programs consumed the most virtual memory: MediaPortal.exe (2200) consumed 252100608 bytes" and that is only occasionally.

Again this is only since the move from 1.1.0 to 1.1.1

Seems to be a memory leak, see attached image.

Yep, I am seeing a memory leak since upgrading to 1.1.1 as well. Can't track it down. I have disabled all the plugins and after a while MP starts using heaps of memory. Gets to the stage where the log file shows errors that there is not enough memory to load backgroung screens on the skins etc.
I will keep fiddling to see if I can track down where it is leakinf from, but probably roll back to 1.1.0 by the end of today.
Pity. :-(

Could you confirm that the leak is happening when video is playing and you browse around views that contain large thumbnails / fanart?

For me, Video is not playing and fan art handler via streamedMP is running.

Will have a look at the other leak thread and see if they are in fact the same.

I'm pretty convinced they are not the same leak.

There is a memeory leak in 1.1.1.
We are investigating the cause.
