I have been using Gbpvr for the last 6 years and have been very happy with it. Since the switch-over to the new version, Npvr, It just hasn't been working out for me. I still have the greatest respect for Sub and all the other developers over there and appreciate all they do, but I decided it was time for me to look for something new.
I found MediaPortal last week and I have liked everything I have seen so far. I really love the way it handles my video library showing the imdb data and art. I also think the TV series plugin is the best thing I have ever seen for that type of library.
The only thing I have had trouble with so far is setting up the TV server, but I am working on it.
Other than that, I want to say thanks and I hope to be a long time user of this program. I have done a little bit of .Net programming in the last few months but I am still learning. Maybe I will be able to contribute to this project some day and give a little back to the community.
