Media Classic Home Cinema release few days ago a codec MPC decoder for h264/avc to use dxva/XP or dxva2 under Vista (evr custom renderer) new graphics card features. But support subtitles under hw acceleration
MP Already support this codec I tried it but without subtitile support.
I love MP and its internal player. When a MP release for this features? I hope so
    thanks a lot.

    Thanks,

However, I can't get it to DXVA under MP and EVR - I got "jaggies" on letters when using it watching DVDs ("Dreamworks intro letters"). So it is definitely not using DXVA - cause with Cyberlink I got perfect letters...

I checked in filtermanager that DXVA was turned on in MPC decoder...

When trying h.264 live TV I just get blank screen...

    Any suggestions?

I tried it for h264 MOV files and mkv x264 files (level @4.1).
it work fine. dxva2 is on with 4-5% of cpu usage !!
You talk about dvd in mpg2? i don't undestand.

Well yes, mpeg2 when watching normal DVDs (which I have on disk).
And also live TV (SD mpeg2) and live HD 720p DVB-T h.264..

I only installed the decoder, the second link you gave me, do I need to install the whole MPC-HC?

    Thanks.

mpc decoder is a h.264/avc1 oriented codec. not mpg2.
decode in sw and hw mode the h.264/avc1 video stream and also Vc1 with Ati Uvd.

Hi, you should install the MPC-HC installer and remove vobsub! While playing, you can check for DXVA activity with:

Right Mouse Button -> Filters -> MPC Video Decoder

It should say "DXVA Mode H.264..." if not using DXVA, it will say so.

Media Player Classic Home Cinema is great, if it could be used within MP it would really make it work!
