hi, i'm planning to create a new skin, inspired by the last.fm site design.

please tell me what you think. if there is enough request i will continue that approach...

the guys from last.fm allowed me to use thier logos by the way...

Definitely looks like a skin I would wan't to use. I'd love to see what you're thinking about doing with the home screen and myTV screen. Looks very promising.

I'm guessing last.fm would thank you for the skin Looks nice, altough I'd personaly like someting a little less webpage-looking, especialy if it is a copy of an existing webpage. I'd realy like to see a skin that represents the identity of MP. The fresh colors of last.fm and the shiny/glassy looks could well be a good start!

The fresh, glossy look would be a real good alternative to the existing skins. A fresh layout is nice, too, but i think it should be kept easy to navigate.

thanks for all this comments, also for those who said "i don't like it".
i'm clear with myself that this is not a layout which will make everyone happy, but i still think it's very intuitive and well-formed.

hmmm, need to sleep over that to decide if it's worth to make a full skin out of it. btw... this skin will use the "actionmenu" shown in this screenshot:

I think it looks really good, but the "Mediaportal powered by last.fm" seems out of place. Parts of the my music plugin i powered by last.fm, but far from the rest. The colours, and layout appeals to me, but adertising for last.fm does not. Please reconsider the logos, but continue this approch.

If you drop the "last.fm" logo completely and this "powered by last.fm" in all screens but those screens that are really last.fm powered, I like it. Not sure it those bright colours start to flicker on CRT TVs, tho. Could be a bit too bright.

Also it's somewhat a pity that underscan compensation is not taken into account (most people still have CRT), but that can be solved by using MP's internal scaling, of course.

Nice idea so far. Very professional!
