New Technotrend driver on Hauppauge Nova-CI (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I have an Hauppauge Nova-CI DVB-S card. Until now I am running with the BDA driver of Technotrend S-1500 version 4.4.0.18.
I saw that Technotrend has released new stable version 5.0.0.6 with improved timeshifting and channel change. Of course I am interested. However when I try to install those drivers, the card is well recognized as DVB-S SU178 Philips version but it cannot start the device.

Does anyone know a trick to get the series 5 drivers of technotrend to work on Hauppauge card?

why dont you simply use the hauppauge drivers?
i can not imagine that they are worse then the TT ones

Well only those of Technotrend are BDA. Also the wdm ones are as old as 2005. No more support from Hauppauge, I am afraid.
I always thought that Nova-CI = TT-Budget but apparently the newest driver from TT are now making a difference. Any hope to see someone hacking those drivers?
