So my current cable provider has decided that everyone needs to use one of there digital adaptors. I used to just use my 2 x Hauppauge PVR-150's to tune all of my analog cable.

My current set up is as follows:
Dedicated TV server with 2 x PVR150
Acer Revo as Client with MCE reciever and remote

My question is how do I configure this? Do I need to install IRSS on the client? If not, how do I do the learning? I'm using just composite out of the CATV adaptor into the \PVR150 so do I select 'TUNER' as the source?

Any help at all???

Did you find any help from that Wiki that rekenaar referred you to. It seems to address a plugin called TV3, which I don't find anywhere, and the help pages for IRSS are more confusing than helpful. I'm trying to blast from media portal to a set top box and having no luck setting up IRSS to do that.

IRSS is a very powerfull and flexible tool.... and much duo to this, it is not the easiest thing to get to work.

I'm using the blasting function myself, and I'm willing to try to guide you as best as I can.

    First:
    - Read the guide rekenaar linked to, starting with: "Configuring TV3 Blaster Plugin: This probably is why you are reading this guide!"
    1. The plugin is called "TV3 blaster plugin" and, if IRSS is installed correctly, you should be able to find this in TVServer config -> plugins.

Try reading and fiddling around a bit, and come back to this thread if/when you need any more pointers (a bit low on time now, but I'll try to provide better assistance later on).

Thanks for your offer of help. I've found this is my first problem. I installed the latest IRSS build, and it does not put a TV3 plugin in my TVServer config program. I was pulling my hair out trying to find this TV3 plugin and finally realized it was just part of the IRS suite. I tried going back to an earlier version of IRSS and got a message that it was not compatible with my version of MP (the latest 1.2). Am I doing something stupid or is there a problem with the IRSS plugin?

I went back and reintalled IRSS 1.4.2.4189, there were really only two installation options, to use as a blaster, which I checked, and a command line option, which I did not click. It stopped and started my tvserver during installation. There is still no TV3 option in the plugins of the TVserver config.

Update 2: I downloaded the IRSS version from here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/ir-server-suite-irss-165/ir-server-suite-aka-irss-releases-75092/

srr037 - please continue your problem discussion only in this thread as cross-posting is against our forum rules.

    1. Did you try to expand the plugin section as per this screenshot:
    plugin.jpg

    2. Can you please check which files are present in the following directory: program files\team mediaportal\tv-server\plugins

Sorry for the cross post. I didn't know it was against the rules. Yes, I opened the Plugin expander several times checking for TV3. The only thing in the TVServer plugins is Comskip and Schedules Direct downloader. I've installed IRSS twice, IRserver is in my tray, and I can run the program from the tray, but no TV3 plugin at all. I should have checked the plugin folder myself. There is a TVServer.dll file, a TV3BlasterPlugin.dll file and a TV3BlasterPlugin.pdb file. So they're there. Any ideas why they are not working? I've attached a screenshot of the entire plugin folder in case that may be helpful.

The only thing I can think of is that it is not compatible.
Are you sure you use the correct version of IRSS for your MP version? The release-thread in your previous post shows which version to use with which MP version.

Please post full logs of the TV Server directory as well as IRSS logs, maybe someone can pick up something there.

I'll check it again and I'll post the logs. I really appreciate your help.

Just noted this comment in the last post of the plugin source thread that addresses the MP 1.2 beta plugin:

"EDIT: Uploaded new build as previous was missing MP side plugins."

Maybe something in missing from the plugin.

Build 4186 was missing the plugins. If you use 4189 with MP 1.2 beta, it should work.
I am using 4189 without problem.
