Ok, there are some basic needs that the card needs to obey.

USB / PCMICA (USb preferred)
No external power for the tuner

Hardware encoding/decoding is preferred, but not a critical issue.
DVB-T would be nice, but I'd rather have a good analog tuner that works with MP, than getting a good DVB-T.

What can you suggest? I have some ideas myself, but would like to hear what you have to say before I reveal them ;)

A Country would be nice, as it enables people locally to be more informative as to how a card behaves within that locale for them.

Also they may point you in the right direction for the best price. :D

my suggestion, do not buy anything from KNC, Technotrend, Twinhan or TerraTec unless you like drivers which are full of bugs. ;)

I can recommend cards from Hauppauge and DigitalEverywhere.
These 2 never caused troubles here.

on the brand note, I have a kworld card that seems to have buggy drivers and a DN TV! card that so far (I've only had it a couple of days) seems to be the strongest card I have come across (picks up signals that 2 other cards/usb stick don't do well).

Paranoid: Good point. Denmark, I'll update my profile asap.
infinityloop: Well I have a TerraTec Cinergy 400 TV in my normal computer, it has been working perfect for a few years now.

mrkaras: Is that card supported by MP?
