First I must say I am delighted with what I am seeing with the new 1.3 Beta! As a result of this, I am now sarting to move foward on my new build.
This will be both TVServer and a client
Curently have
ASUS P8Z77-V LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
AMD FX-6100 Zambezi 3.3GHz Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB (4 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
Will be transering over
Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 ntsc/atsc/qam Combo
Raid5 of 4 2TB drives
Will be using an SSD for boot
Will be creating and using upwards of 8G of RamDisk for Temp files and transcoding
Questions
I need to run IIS for web services. Should I be considering Windows 7 Pro or is there a server OS supported?
I am also looking for a Multi Digital card. Here in the US I have an over the air antenna and WOW cable TV.
Would like to have multi-channel recording and Hope to one day upgrade to U-Verse.
