This is my first post. I'am currently a Windows MCE user and due to the directions and priorities MS is putting in the product, I don't think it is going to where I would like the product I use to go.
Browsing the MediaPortal foruns, I got very impressed with what is being done to the product and I think it is more what I would expect of a "MediaCenter" product in the future.
I downloaded and started playing with it in my main MediaCenter system. It was simpler to use and proved to have a better structure and functions then MCE. But I've got into some problems and got stuck. Any directions on how to solve them would very appreciated.
First - I don't get color TV with analog input in the Hauppauge PVR500. I use STBs connected to the Hauppauge via the component video in. The STB ouputs PAL-M (Brazil), unfortunatelly I can't change that. I've already plalyed with the capture cards in the Setup program, but nothing changed. The same setup (card+stb) works with MCE and Sage.
Second - My Blaster dont work with the first blaster. I was able to learn the STBs controler codes, but test only work on STB/blaster 2. STB/Blaster 1 don't flash.
Third - Appears that I can't ever use the second tuner inside MediaPortal. If i'am recording one channel and try to move to another one it shows me that all tunners are in use, even tough I'am only recording one. I've enabled all channels to all tunners, but appears that tunner 2 never gets used.
Thanks in advance for any help, I think version 0.3 will be the one for me (due to the new TV engine), but I would like to start testing it before that so I can get used to the new interface.
