G'day all,
I'm in the process of getting all of the parts for a new HTPC.

I'm a bit confused with the capability of MediaPortal. Can MP + TV server allow me to stream TV to another computer(s) I have on the network, using the HTPC as a MP client and server for all of my media/TV?

If so, is there any special requirements besides what the software requires to run?

Does it convert it to a MPEG-4 or similar as I'm assuming that MPEG-2 HDTV will chew up all of the bandwidth whether it be 100mb ethernet or wireless?

YES! if you will use a digital TV-card such as DVB-T - S or -C you will also be able to steam all channels on same mux/transponder for each card!!
