Hello,

I really want to leave Windows Media Center and use Mediaportal

Windows Vista Home Premium
Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHZ
1GB of RAM
Nvidia Geforce 8600 GTS
2 Hauppauge HVR 1600 cards
Microsoft Remote Model 1039 with this IR Blaster: http://lib.store.yahoo.net/lib/directron/xpmediactrl2.jpg

These send signals to two STB's. In Media Center they work fine. I am unsure how to get any of this working in Mediaportal. I have been searching for a tutorial or such but have had no luck. I previously tried GBPVR but had no luck. Mediaportal is the PVR I most want to use but I've been told it is complicated to get working. Can anyone walk me through setting this up?

Hi Nick,

You should have a look at IR Server by And-81. This is a replacement for the builtin support for MCE remotes. I use IR Server to receive the commands from my MCE remote, handle som commands in MP, and blast others to my TV and/or my audio amp.
