Hi,
I've just switched from GBPVR to MediaPortal and I have the following notes :
1) I installed on sever 2003 successfully. I examined the following files after applying OS updates :
filename, version in dvbfix, version on OS
mpeg2data.ax, 6.5.2710.2732, 6.5.3790.3959
PsisDecd.dll, 6.5.2715.2883, 6.5.3790.3959
psisrndr.ax, 6.5.2715.2883, 6.5.3790.3959
I note the version numbers of the files already installed are higher than those in the dvbfix. Do I still apply the fix ?(I haven't so far and everything is working fine).
I notice that Media Portal web interface had disappeared from the site but sought it out on the developers site. When I attempted to add a schedule a recording, I was given an SQL error.
For those with some RDBMS knowledge this seems to have been cause by a change to the schema used by the TV recording service that has not been dealt with by the web interface. I fixed it by using my SQL workbench to modify database mptvdb table sheduled field series to give it a default value (0). I tried the other web interface but it doesn't seem as well developed as the old one.
Hope this helps,
B.
