Newbie - Problems With TerraTec 2400i DT

I was recommended MediaPortal by a friend so here I am. I've tried installing and following the guide of setting things up but when I go to watch TV I get an error of "Unable to start timeshifting</p><p>Unknown error occured". I have seen a few seconds of TV a couple of times so the tuners appear to be tuned correctly and my audio/video decoders seem to be set up correctly.
