I have been reading the wiki but haven't found answers to these questions.

1) How do you uninstall a Skin? Plenty of info on how to install but I can't find anything on how to uninstall.

2) I have installed and registered FLVsplitter.ax and DIVx pack. However, I can only play trailers in SD if I try to play in 480 0r 720 I get an unable to play, can't see the file extension, probably .flv. When I try to play the trailer for 2 & 1/2 men I get Can not play video, no URL. I get this with Southpark and several others

3) I can not get Weather to work. When I go into the weather configuration, select a city, I get a bad link message. This could be related to the above i guess.

4) The Skin I am using is Streamed MP. No matter what menu item I pick I got to Movies.

I am running Windows 7 Pro.
Processor: AMD A8-3850 APU Quad-Core Processor with AMD Radeon 6550 HD Graphics, no external graphic card.

Hi,

to 1) actually you do not uninstall the skin. You just selecgt a different one in the mediaportal configuration. (GUI tab). Ifr you want to recoverb the hard disk space, you can delete the folder....

2) cannot comment here. I am using SAF 5 without problems but do not play trailers

3) do not see how this should be related to 1 or 2. Do you have a proper internet connectivity? In MePo weather config you should click add, type in a city, that one maybe found or not, and then add city. (are you sure your city is available?)

4) not sure how this is meant. Did you use the streamt mp basic home editor to set up a home screen? Did you clear the skin cache? are you using the basic home screen?

1) Well, when I open Media Portal Configuration, under GUI I have 3 Options: Language Settings, Control Settings, and Thumbnails. Noe of these appear to provide me the option of changing the skin. Also, in the Plugins Section, I can not "Disable" Streamed MP. It just won't let me. The menus worked fine in the default skin but I can't get back to it.

2) It's not only trailers. It's most internet video.

3) The point is that there may be some connection between the "bad link" error and the "no url" error. In both cases MP is trying to access the internet. I type in the city name, i. e., Denver, it returns options, I select one, click preview, I get the error message Bad Link. I;'m not sure what you mean by "proper" but I have a connection through Comcast, it's the same connection that I am using now. It's the same connection that I downloaded MP and all it's components.

4) Yes, I am using the StreamedMP BasicHome Editor. When I go to the Basic Home Design, on the right had sign the is a section with a list of sub menus with one of those checked. Which ever one I check e.g., MOVIES is the only one which will play. If I check more than one, I get an error message saying I can only select one default item. Once I generate the menu and start MP that is the only sub menu which will work. All the others are visible but if I click on "PLUGINS" , for example, it will start "MOVIES". If I click on "MUSIC", it will start "MOVIES", etc.

Hi,

1) yes, as pilehave says, click on GUI, not the sub items

3) after gettting the "option" screen just confirm by "add city". Then it should be available in MePo. Under the "options" you have to add links if you wanted to. But normally you can forget about that. After "Denver" is found, "add city"...

4) In Streamed MP basic home the item in bold in the middle will be playing if you hit enter. use the up/down keys or scroll with mouse to get another menu item into focus and then this one will be selected with enter. There is also a "mouse optimised" setting selection, but I do not recall where that one was.

Well, don't I feel stupid. It seems so obvious once you know. I have replaces the Streamed MP with the skin with the default skin. Once I get the other functionality working I'll see if I can figure that out. Thanks flintstone and pilehave for you help. Also, I have the weather working.

Now, I am trying to get Online Videos Functioning. It works sometimes. The issues I see are:
1) When trying to play some of the videos I get a "Unable To Play Video No URL". For example with South Park.
2) When I try to play some viseos I get Can't Play Video, some of these videos are .mp4 files some are .flv files for example, CNN. Sometimes they are .m4v videos. I have installed and successfully registered FLVSPlitter.ax and DIVx pack. I am running window 7 and I thought most of the Filters I needed we included. I there are other filers I need where can I find a list?
3) Sometimes for example, with Youtube I get an error that says, "Error Getting Category Videos."
4) Some videos load but never start, the first frame loads but never starts.
5) When I click on a video in the Discovery Channel it crashes the system, I have to ctrl, Alt, Del to get out.

I hope the solution to these problems are as easy as the previous ones.
