Hi
I have just installed MediaPortal for the first time and have followed the instructions with regard to configuring the application. When I start it up I am able to see the main menu, but when I select my music (or for that matter any of the options on the main menu inc. settings) I just get a blank screen. I have checked that the configuration is pointing MediaPortal at the correct directories, etc but still the problem persists. Can anyone help?
Thanks

Hi MarkToots - wlecome to the forum :)

When you say "blank screen" do you mean a all-black screen, or a MP menu screen w/o any listing. (Or a blank mp screen w only background)?

Also, could ypu please attach your logs and your system specs?

    Hi Spragleknas
    Thanks for the welcome.
I am seeing a blank mp screen with only the background (it also means that I am having to crash out of the application every time). I'll retrieve the log files and provide the system specs in due course as mp is installed on another machine that has been moved out of the way of the kids.

As a follow up to my last post I have updated my system details (they are a bit sketchy as I did not build the original machine - it is an AMD CF-S768. I have just had another play with mp and have noticed when running it in the windowed mode that the title changes when I click on different areas of the blank background (e.g. Context Menu, My Music/Shares, etc). This suggests to me that the layout information is there just that the form is not displaying properly.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

If you have a spare pci slot then an ATI HD 2400pci will be just the correct choice 33GBP.

If AGP then many more choices both NV and ATI

    Otherwise new MB etc required.
