Newby to Media Portal looking to move away from XPMCE 2k5 (1 Viewer)

Hi I ma looking to move away from XP MCE and I am hoping to find the right answers here as the FAQ I don't think quite covers them.

- Does Media Portal support these cards? I currently own two PVR-150's

- How many PCI tuners can Media Portal support?

Hi,

1) For sure. Hauppauge PVR cards are very well supported (I have a 150 and a 350).

2) Once there was a stresstest with 6 PVR 500 (twelve tuners if I remember correct) -> no problems

This has 5 PCI cards, two of which are dual tuners. Total of 7 tuners. That enough for you, nappy_d?

I was aiming for 4 but DANG!!!!

Everything I have read about this product is AMAZING and seems to out shine the limitations that Microsoft has placed on the MCE.
