Newest Plugin Works, Then Doesn't... (1 Viewer)

I'm running the new MCE Replacement Plugin, with MP 2.3, no SVNs. This one seems to work randomly. I use the eHome remote and blasters to my TV and receiver. At first, everything was working GREAT, then all the sudden no blasting at all. Sometimes it works in the configuration, sometimes it doesn't.

Any ideas?

Could you provide a log of when it has failed?

Also, does there seem to be any pattern to the failures?

And, are you running any other software that interacts with the MCE remote? If so, you will need to disable it.

It just flat out will not blast anything in MediaPortal.

Fresh vista load, MP 2.3, MCE Plugin, nothing more...

I learn Vol+, Vol- for the audio receiver, test blast it to one of the blasters from the config page, works great. Test blast to both and I get nothing. Bind to the MCE Vol+, Vol- buttons and go into media portal, no blinky blinky. It worked once but hasn't worked since.

Which logs do you want, and where are they located?

I think I've found the problem myself, I'll try to update the new test copy tonight, if not then I'll post back here later ...

Ok, try unzipping the attached file into your MediaPortal\Plugins\Process folder. If that fixes it (you'll need to re-assign the blast commands first) then I'll put it into an installer and post it on the main thread.

Ok, latest update.

Fresh Vista, MP 2.3 (no svn's), Hauppauge eHome MCE Remote, Blasters to TV and Receiver

Using the green button to turn on TV and Receiver, using the Volume and Mute buttons to adjust Receiver.

I unzipped and overwrote, and now blasting "both" works just fine in configuration. Problem is I get no blasting in MP whatsoever. The remote functions work fine until the first time I hit a mapped button (ie, volume), from then on the remote does nothing on any button. I get no blaster-blink in mediaportal no matter what.

Does this new plugin still work with the old driver? ...because I don't need the remote for anything BUT mediaportal.

It's meant to work with any driver, XP, Vista (32 or 64), Replacement. But the replacement driver is now obsolete. This plugin (and IR Server suite) can disable the automatic handling of some of the buttons in the Advanced section of the configuration.

Maybe you can send me your mediaportal.log (MediaPortal\log\mediaportal.log) file and I can figure out what's going on...

You did redo your blast commands like I said right?

I'll do some more investigating here too and try to figure it out.
