Hi,
i've tested this on two sytems (the logs below are from a different setup - the effect is the same).
While watching live TV with DD 5.1 Sound i only get stereo out.
(O.K. I Fixed this in the MP Config with AC3 over language)
If recording in mpeg-format i only got stereo.
If i play back the recording with vlc, i see up to 16 Audio-track with two or three having sound, but only stereo.
When i record a tv-program in .ts format 5.1 sound is saved.
This is since Mp 1.0 RC2 (didn't test the RC 1). In 0.2.3 the 5.1 was saved in the dvr-ms format (i was not using the Tv server then). It also occurs with the latest SVN.
I've added two logs - one recording in mpeg, one in ts.
If it's helpful i can provide the recordings (or a part of it).
Since mpegs are easier to cut etc. I liek the mepg's more ...
