"No animation" don't work (1 Viewer)

Synopsis: Even though I uncheck "Enable animations" in MP config, still the icon in main page upper left corner animates.

With that setting you disable animations like sliding buttons etc.

What you're looking for is this:

Search for this in MediaPortal.xml:
<section name="general">
Below, add this:
<entry name="hidepnganimations">yes</entry>

You cannot do that in configuration.exe.

Note that you also disable the animation of the WaitCursor (rarely used anyway due to some basic problems that would need major changes).

Alternative: Change the skin file, there's already a post about removing that animation from the skin file here on the forums.

    I think becuase the animation on the top left is just a series of png files, its really not considered a true animation. mPod posted over in THIS forum about how to remove that.

    There are two different kinds of animations in MP: The one that can be controlled in config that is about the sliding in elements/buttons and the second one is the animated logo. That one can't be set up in config.
