I recently installed mediaportal 1.2.3 and I could listen to music but the sound came out of my (rubbish) TV speakers. I therefore disabled hdmi audio (in the windows playback devices section) and set my soundcard speakers as the default audio device. I can hear windows OS sounds and I can play audio files using windows media player. However I can no longer hear skin sounds in MP and when I try to play music files, I get an "unable to play blah.mp3" message every time. I have subsequently tried re-enabling HDMI audio, and setting it back as the default device but I still can't hear music within MP. I have tried all the sound device options (notably "default sound device" and "digital audio (hdmi)") in the music configuration settings, to no avail. I have also tried completely removing and reinstalling MP, but that hasn't helped either! Any help/things to try would be much appreciated.
