No Audio on HDMI (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal WAS able to play audio on the HDMI output for a long time.

Without changing anything MP doesn't output any sound to HDMI any more starting yesterday.
Not only TV, but Videos are affected as well. (I assume it is a general problem, not just a TV tuner related one.)
Checked with various videos using different audio codecs and neither of them works.
(Audio renderer is still the HDMI output.)

Can't think of anything I've done to end up in this situation.

Debugging I've done:

• 
  MP can play audio on internal Sound Card using connected speakers

• Windows 7 can play audio on HDMI audio out - tests work fine

Any suggestions how to continue debugging?
Any idea where the audio is lost?

Is it connected to a TV or a receiver?
Try downmixing to stereo if used on TV.
Btw: You should list all relevant info, meaning all hardware and software. Logs are always welcome .

Just gotto ask: Sure you didn't do ANYTHING?

I deleted my HDMI device and let windows download the driver for it.

After this the audio on HDMI was restored.

Probably a windows update in the background screwed the things up, I can't think of anything else.

Where are the log files anyway? Probably I can use them next time (hopefully never ever).

I've actually filled the specs, just forgot the checkbox...
