Synopsis:

Hi, I'm in the process of changing my htpc software from TVCentral to Mediacenter, cause it looks way cooler 8) .

But now I have a problem with my DVB-card. In the wiki the card is listed as supported, but I don't get any tv-channel out of it. The autotune function starts and the indicator shows a signal strength of 100%, but the signal quality stays at 0% and no channel is found.

So I entered some channels manually but all I get in MP is a black screen.

I looked up the graph in GraphEdit, and I think it looks good (though I'm not an expert) when I autotune, but when I insert the filters manually the Microsoft dvb-c network filter won't connect to the Tuner-filter and I after rendering the pin it only shows the MPEG2-Demultiplexer.

Someone any Idea?

Maybe the symbol rate, modulation or frequencies provided in MP don't match what your provider is pushing.
Try and get these from your cable provider.
Then make your own DVBC file like the ones already in thr TuningParameters directory.
Tune with that, hopefully you'll have better success.

Feel free to email me the file also and i'll include it in SVN for future releases.

No, symbol rate (6900), modulation (qam64) and frequencies are all correct. If it only were that easy :?

Maybe the log will do some good:

I'm getting really frustrated... I think the BDA - drivers are shit.

The Manufacturer's software (GlobeTV) works with WDM-drivers without any problems. From this software I have the symbolrate, modulation and frequencies and they are definitely correct.

But the card doesn't work with the bda-drivers in mp and mytheatre. The card is recognised but no channel is found like there is no cable connected.
