    Hello folks,

due to a transponder change of one of my favourite HD channels (ORF 1 HD) I found out, that I (now) have a problem while grabbing EPG from DVB-S2 channels.
I tested that with three different versions from MP and there is a different behavior in the channel scan, but the same result in having no EPG. I did the channel scan with activated DVB-S2 checkbox in all tested versions

MP 1.0.0.0 (disaster version based on SVN 22020):

I´m using this version normally, as my onboard nvidia 9300 seems to be too weak for the newer versions.
channel scan seems to result in having no DVB-S2 channels, or not all of them found, but all DVB-S channels.
manually added ORF 1 HD with the new settings - preview ist working fine.
started EPG-grabbing (idle and timeshift) - EPG for DVB-S channels working fine, but no EPG for ORF 1 HD (and of course, I did activate the channel in the EPG list!)

MP 1.0.2 (disaster version based on SVN 22554)
channel scan results in now only having all the DVB-S2 channels, but no DVB-S channel found
again started EPG grabbing - no EPG
just to be sure, that this is not related to "ORF 1 HD" only I tested the same with "arte HD" - same result - no EPG

    MP 1.1 ALPHA

same results as in 1.0.2 - no EPG

I´m using a floppyDTV DVB-S2. Attached are the server logs from the ALPHA version.

    Best Regards

Actually i am also not able to get EPG from ORF 1 HD on their new dvb-s2 transponder.
On the old dvb-s transponder, grabbing EPG still works nicely.

Grabbing EPG for AnixeHD+ and Astra HD+ fails as well with current svn.
Well, "fails" might be the wrong term. TvServer does not find anything.

The thing which makes me suspicious is that everyone who reports not working EPG grabbng from dvb-s2 seems to own a floppy/firedtv.
and krikkit who has it working does not own one....

will have to test with the Hauppauge Nova HD S2 here

    Problem was ::identified and fixed::.
Next public svn build will contain this fix. :)

    good news - <german> habt Dank! </german>

is there a possibility to get the solution as a patch? as far as understand the issue in Mantis, the solution will only be fixed for the latest version.
But because of my onboard nvidia 9300, which seems to be too weak for the newer versions, I still have to use version 1.0.0 (SVN 22020) @ the moment. So it would be great to have a solution for this older version, if possible?!

    :D

nope. this will require 1.1.0 Alpha + the next public svn build.
