Hi,

i'm using mediaportal 1.1 with the last saf unlocked. i have no problem with playing 1080p-files in mkv-container. subs in dvd: also no problem (now). i can select the subs with "L", but mp ignored the forced-flag in mkv. the audiotrack forced flag is no problem.

i converted the sup-subs into idx/sub-subs with bdsup2sub v3.9.9.

is it necessary to install a special program like directvobsub?

Have you configured them inside the MP config area? check out the WIKI. After re-reading, I'm guessing so. Have you renamed the *.sub & *.idx to exactly the same name as the *.mkv file?

Regarding your query on DirectVobSub, I'm not sure as I have had that app installed for many a year. If MP doesn't install it as part of it's package, it wouldn't hurt to try. May well be required as the new config area lists it as a 'subtitles engine' in my config.

OK. It's slowly coming back. I would install it, if you can't activate the filter inside the "videos/video post-processing" area. I use the DirectVobSub; not the 'auto-loading' version.

    See how you go.
