HI,

I made a complete fresh installation of win 7, latest mp 1.2.3, mopi and different skins (streamed, purvision and black glass). No skin, included the base one, is showing some infos using mopi

All I get is something like this:
#MovingPictures.SelectedMovie.genres
#MovingPictures.SelectedMovie.runtime.localized.long::::
#MovingPictures.SelectedMovie.summary

and so on.

The year of a movie is shown and only within the filmstrip I can the the covers. After a while a popup comes up telling mediaportal is not working anymore and the mopi database is damaged, but still accessable in the mopi configuration. If I disable the mopi plugin mp works again

Could someone help me please

Thanks
scorpie

Well if you post debug log files I can take a look. Also FYI any time you upgrade Moving Pics it creates a database backup.

    To enable debug mode on log files in MovingPictures, you open MediaPortal configuration, and via 'General' you switch log verbosity level to 'debug', this then also changes it for MovPic.

    To locate the files, Start Menu -> All Programs -> Team MediaPortal -> MediaPortal -> "User Files" -> then navigate to the "log" subfolder and there you will find your log files, including movingpictures.log

    FYI = For Your Information

    Enjoy :)

    Thanks RoChess. Sorry Scorpie, I should have been more specific.

    Try changing the "Max Actors, Genres, etc. to Display" advanced setting from 0 to 1. This setting is in the Advanced Settings Panel under "MediaPortal GUI/Interface Options". I am pretty sure this is the problem.

    This of course should not fail with a 0 value but it looks like this was a situation we did not check for. I will add a fix for our next release. But in the future keep in mind that you should use caution when changing advanced settings. The large warning at the start of the Advanced Settings Panel is there for a reason. The panel has little input verification and many of the exposed settings have had limited testing.

    My bad, sorry. It's working now, thanks a lot

    One thing left, how can I remove the actors shown within a skin, cuz I don't need them. Must be somewhere in a xml file but where

    No need to apologize. And it really depends on which skin you are using. You might want to ask in the subforum for your current skin? Or you could search for the following string, this is the placeholder for the actors list.

    Code:
    #MovingPictures.SelectedMovie.actors
