No ISOs into Video Database since 1.0.0.0 Install (1 Viewer)

Hello all. First post, but been lurking for a while.

I had been running MP 1.0 RC4 for a while and loved it. Yesterday I did a fresh install of MP 1.0.0.0 as well as TV Server.

I use the Daemon Tools option to mount my DVD RIP ISOs in Media Portal and this works fine.

In 1.0 RC4, I could scan my ISO directory in the Video Database section of the Media Portal configuration and it would import the movie details. In MP 1.0.0.0 this no longer works. I've added .iso as a file type under videos which worked in 1.0 RC4.

Also, I'm unable to get MP-TVSeries Plugin to work. It installed and scanned my TV Series directory and imported the correct information into it's DB. However when I select the Plug In from within MP I get a black screen that says "file not found".

Any help would be appreciated.

If there are any specs or logs you need I can try to pull them, but being fairly new to MP, I'm not sure what you guys normally look for to troubleshoot.

Thanks in advance,

You can try the 'every movie has his own folder' setting. That works a bit concerning your ISO problem I think at least you can look them up again since it will use the name of the ISO again (since it sees them as folder).

Then again, MP is bad with ISO's. I think there should be an option in config not to treat .ISO files as folders. Now it does and I don't want to look into a folder while watching a movie. And I don't want all ISO's listed before the other movies, I just want one alfabet, not two, looks terribly messy.

Still looking for a way to force MP to give dir's the same treatment as normal files so they get sorted on name instead also on type (file/folder) or just treat ISO files like what they are. One single file with a certain name, nothing special :) (I know it is a special file, but it only makes it more complicated browsing through my video's).

same problem here. I really want to treat ISO's as just a normal video file even if they are not, but the database entries for the files are just ignored :(

i did actually get them working in the end. its a bit of a hassle but i put the iso in the folder with the other videos, downloaded a cover and then renamed it EXACTLY the same as the image file itself.

searched the database and it finds it, i then assign the cover to it.

seems to work fine. the only annoying thing is that in share view it says the iso extension after the movie name.

    hi,

regarding your "Also, I'm unable to get MP-TVSeries Plugin to work. It installed and scanned my TV Series directory and imported the correct information into it's DB. However when I select the Plug In from within MP I get a black screen that says "file not found"."

u need a skinfile for tvseries to copy in your used skin folder.

I got mine to work as well, only much easier. I originally ONLY had ISOs in my Movie directory. After I put some XVID or DIVX files in there, for whatever reason it fixed the entire issue. I guess once it had something besides ISOs to scan, it picked up the ISOs along with the other file types.

I've also resolved the MP-TVSeries issue as well.

Yeah I can get the icon to show that way, but it still does not use the database entry (for genre and such). In addition all the ISO files are listed first and the other video files next so the entries are not really alphabetically ordered. It's not a major issue but it is a bit annoying. :(
