No MP 1 RC4 or i missed something? (2 Viewers)

Hello

I reinstalled MP by downloading the latest vers from the main page.

But when everybody talks about MP RC4, the last version that i can find is the MP 1 RC3. In addition, one skin that i installed (StreamedMP) says when MP boots that the version of MP that i have is older.

Can somebody clarify which version is the latest and from where can i download it?

Hi, and welcome to the forum vpapous
We released the MediaPortal ver. 1.0 just before Christmas.
You can fint it here: MEDIAPORTAL - free media center - MediaPortal Downloads

We are now waiting for the next release, 1.0.1, which has been delayed.

If you get a "skin version error" after installing the 1.0 version, then the skin is either newer or older than the MediaPortal version. Please post details here if that happens, and I, or someone else, will help you get it working.

What is the RC4? is older or newer than MP 1.0 RC3?

I forgot that this was my first post probably because i have spent so much time reading during the last 10 months that i'm using MP.

That's a older version, it went RC1\2\3\4, then the final version that spragleknas linked to.

Hi vpapous,

RC stands for release candidate, so any RC version is actually older than MP 1.0

Download Mediaportal 1.0 (no RC), and this will be the latest stable (non-testing) version you can get as of now.

Pretty soon the new version 1.0.1 will be coming out as an update to 1.0, but for now don't worry about that. Just steer clear of any "RC" versions, as they are older.

From where can i get a newer version?

That link worked for me as well...

The problem is that this exe is the MP 1.0 RC3....

That is what is says when my MP is booting....

The link in the download page goes to MP 1.0 RC3...


Any ideas for something newer will be highly appreciated...

Have you kept any old files from previous install.

XP = C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Appdata\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

Vista = C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

amazing.....

I uninstalled everything has to do with MP: program files, skins, plugin etc

i just download it again and reinstall it... clean....

But again..... when the MP is booting (in the blue screen), it says on the left down corner "MP 1.0.0. RC3"

I have no clue .....
