No picture only black screen (1 Viewer)

Ihave just installed mediaportal, the portal looks interestingly.

I have some problems though.
At the moment im testing the portal on elderly athlon xp pc with a technisat skystar 2 USB DVB-S card.
I have succesfully made a scan of one sattelite and i believe i have made some mapping of the channels.
However when i try to watch a channel all i get is a blac screen.

any help would be appreciated.

No sound either. CPU loads at 100% and system hangs from timeto time.
