No response from Apple Remote on IRSS on a Intel NUC (D54250WYK) (1 Viewer)

So, my understanding is that I could get a apple remote to work on a Windows 8 machine with in-built CIR (which the Intel NUC has) through using IRSS.

However, when I set up the IRSS, and try to use the translator, it doesn't show that it would receive any button presses from the remote.

Am I doing this correctly? I've added mac mini as a configuration device on the IR server, and yes the server is running and the CIR pops up correctly at the device manager.

Has anyone else attempted this? Or even tried Apple remote with any other IR receiver?

Hi,

Were you able to do this? I have the exact same scenario but no luck trying to set this up... I am trying with several different remotes besides the apple remote and it seams that I can't receive signals from none of them.

I wonder if there is a tool that I can use that definitely tells me if the Intel NUC built-in receiver is actually reading the signals from any of the remotes.
