No-signal problem on Qbox S2 USB DVB-S2. Probably problem between diseqc/MP (1 Viewer)

My HTPC runs on Win7 Ultimate 32 bit and I have TBS Qbox S2 USB DVB-S2.
Main problem is multiswitch. I have two LNB. Thirst one is directed to HB (13), second one to Astra(19.2). In my opinion MP has some problems with diseqc on LNB1 (result no signal during scanning). LNB2 works good.
I’ve used Media Portal 1.2.0 Aplha.
There are some logs tv.log and screen. Maybe somebody can help me. MP is nice, but problem with LNB1 makes it not useful for me

I can tell that when I switch to DVBDream, everything works good on LNB1 (HB) and LNB2 (Astra).
If I’ll disconnect my HTPC, and put dreambox 500 everything works good on LNB1 (HB) and LNB2 (Astra).
Proper scanning on LNB2 was only possible after changing card properties/preffered network provider from Generic to DVBS. With Generic set, both LNB failed (no signal) during scanning. Settings on screen:

Sorry that nobody responded too you. You might need to be more patient since the team have lots of work to do in preparation for MP 1.2.0, and there are also other threads to respond to...

Okay, so please tell me:
- Are both of your LNBs Universal LNBs?
- Did you try to use "Level1AA" instead of "SimpleA", and "Level1AB" instead of "SimpleB"?
- What are the hexadecimal DiSEqC commands that you're using in DVBDream?

answer: Yes, and both are the same.
- Did you try to use "Level1AA" instead of "SimpleA", and "Level1AB" instead of "SimpleB"?
answer: yes, i tried. There was no changes. On LNB1 no-signal. On LNB2 was OK
- What are the hexadecimal DiSEqC commands that you're using in DVBDream?
answer: this is difficult question, because i didn't used any diseqC commands. I have used standard diseqc v1/v2 as below:

I used the following diseqc command in linux environment for this dvb-s2 device to work properly:

Your problem seems a little unusual to me. Can you confirm:

- that you're also able to scan vertical transponders on Astra 19.2
- that you're *not* able to scan horizontal transponders on HB 13

What happens if you tune to HB 13 in DVBDream, then close DVBDream and try to scan HB straight away in TV Server?

but as you can see on firsth picture, qbox locked signal on 10719000 frequency. Unfortunatelly I can't repeat this

question: What happens if you tune to HB 13 in DVBDream, then close DVBDream and try to scan HB straight away in TV Server
answer: qbox has green led, when he lock on transponder. during dvbdream playback led switched on. after closing dvbdream, green led was still on. Then i had 2 situations because i tried it few times:
1. typical, i can repeat this:After starting full scanning led switched to off and there was no signal message
2. only once. I cant repeat this: After starting full scanning qbox found signal on one transponder. On the second and other he lost signal.

I hope it will help to solve this problem.

I have been able to locate a copy of the TBS tuner driver API. It looks like DiSEqC should have worked for all TBS cards *except* the QBOX - the QBOX seems to have a slightly different interface.

After discovering that, I have spent 4 or 5 hours adding support for the QBOX.

You are using MP 1.2.0a aren't you?
Can you please try the following to test the changes that I have made:

1. Stop TV Server.
2. Take a backup of the TVLibrary.dll in your TVServer install folder.
3. Delete your TV Server logs.
4. Download and extract the attached TVLibrary.dll into your TV Server install folder.
5. Start TV Server.
6. Attempt to scan for channels on each LNB (make sure to have DVBDream closed).
7. Post your logs here.

Before you get your hopes up too high, please remember that this is the first test version - it might not work straight away. Hopefully we can work together to get it working.

Yes, I'm using MP 1.2.0 Alpha.
Hmm... so it can be a trace...
OK.
First test with new developed TVLibrary.dll:
Of course CARD PROPERTIES/Preffered Network Provider set to DVBS. Generic give no signal results on both LNBs.

1.
Diseqc: on HB13.0 set to Level1AA.
Band: Ku-Linear(Universal)
results in tv-hb.log file (scanning with results no-signal canceled after 7 transponders)

2.
Diseqc: on Astra 19.2 set to Level1AB.
Band: Ku-Linear(Universal)
results in tv-astra.log file (scanning OK -found tranponders, canceled after 5 transponders)


I'll be glad to help you solve this problem My hope will wait for results

I'm eager to see what happened now (even though I'm at work ) but I'm on Ubuntu Linux and I can't open those rar files. Unless you can post zip versions you'll have to wait until I get home (6 hours) before I can check them...
