My MediaPortal installation is no longer playing mp3 audio. It used to work fine for years but somehow it broke and I don't seem to be able to fix it by myself.
The major problem is of course that I can't play any music from the My Music section. I can start playback as usual, Now Playing shows that the file is playing, there's just no sound. The DTS and DD5.1 audio that I have with movies and tv series plays as normal. Movies and tv series with mp3 audio are silent as well.
The HTPC also plays the same mp3 files fine through Media Player.
At the time the problem started, I was still running MP 1.1.3. I'd hoped that an 1.2.0 upgrade would somehow fix the problem, but it didn't.
I checked the log files, but couldn't find any clues.
I've searched the forum for some similar problems, no luck.
I installed the SAF 6 codec pack (while previously I had SAF 5) - no changes noticed.
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this issue?
