No sound when playing videos (1 Viewer)

For the last weeks or so i havent been able to use my mediaportal to play back my tv shows or movies. For some reason it does not give me any sound output. I know the computer works and the codecs, i can play the files in windows mediaplayer without problems.
i have not made any changes to my computer or codecs befor this happend. Hope this is something you guys can help me with. I use hali media splitter and ffdshow codecs.
Ps. english isnt my first language so be kind to overlook some gramatical errors

FIXED.
found the solution in another post.

It was muted in windows volum control for some reason. Must have been an odd update.
Anyways, its fixed.
