The websites used to get the information from, constantly adjust their technical HTML code.

This means that the scraper-scripts that MovingPictures uses have to be updated to compensate. Between the last MovPic release and right now, quite a few movie information websites have changed their HTML code and require you to manually install a new scraper-script for that site.

In your Swedish case this would be the Filmtipset.se scraper that has an updated version at the MovingPictures Google Project Issue site.

The imdb.com site also got updated and requires you to get the new imdb.com scraper-script.

To combat this problem, I've created the IMDb+ plugin which auto-installs and auto-updates the IMDb+ scraper-script. It has support for Swedish language as well, but only for Summary and Genres right now. Swedish title support will be added later, but it is going to take me a few more days/weeks to get that code working. There will then also be Swedish support for renaming+grouping of movie titles to make all the series group together, such as James Bond, Star Wars, Harry Potter, etc. Right now this is only English, so if you use IMDb+ right now, the roughly 900 movie entries in the rename database will rely on the English titles.

So for the time being the new Filmtipset.se scraper is probably what you are after (unless you are adventerous). The manual install instructions on how to update your MovingPictures plugin can be found on the forum or FAQ.

oh thanks for the quick replay

Well I use both filmtipset.se (what I know I have install the latest) and IMDB.

if I install the latest IMDB scraper-script, do I have to rescan all my movie again?

    /EDIT

Find that I can do a refresh to get information about my movies :)

You only need to rescan if you do not trust (or want to correct) the information that the old scraper-script version used to import the movie.

So if you have a movie imported as "IMDb - Avatar" via default IMDb scraper and you expected that to be "Avatar", then this has indeed been fixed in the new version of the scraper-script, but requires you to then refresh/update that movie (after you manually updated things), so that the new scraper-script code is used to 'correct' the mistake.

If however you are satisfied with how the existing movies got imported, then there is no need to refresh.

But keep an eye out on IMDb+ scraper-script forum thread then, once I have Swedish support expanded on titles, it sounds like it would be a better fit for you, as it combines imdb.com and filmtipset.se, so when there is no Swedish info to be found it automatically falls back on English. But if that movie gets added to Filmtipset in the future, then all you have to do is refresh it via IMDb+ and it will get the Swedish info, whereas with your currect setup you have to sent the movie back to the importer and loose date-added, and other info. And if there is ever an update needed for IMDb+ scraper-script, the latest version will then auto-update via IMDb+ plugin once the fix it out, so you don't have to hunt down for it and install it manually (it does require at least one person to notify me that there is a problem of course ).

    Thanks for the information

    I going to install IMDb+ :)

Ok, use the "Force IMDb+" option in the hidden menu inside the IMDb+ plugin to convert your existing collection of IMDb and Filmtipset.se scraper-script imported movies over, so that they all use the IMDb+ version from then on. If you then don't refresh anything, your existing collection will stay as-is.

But keep in mind that any new movie will get English title added. It is possible to get semi-Swedish title support by disabling some of the IMDb+ scraper-script options via the IMDb+ plugin, but if you are patient for a few more days/weeks, I will have proper Swedish title support included. The IMDb+ scraper-script will auto-update then when the time comes, so just keep an eye on the forum thread for updates.

I'll probably release the foreign title (and foreign grouping) support as IMDb+ scraper-script v4.0.0, so it should be easy to spot (you can use "IMDb+ Info" option inside plugin to see what you currently have/use).

did You enable do not show spoilers.

Totally forgot about that, I know a few updates got made to filmtipset.se scraper, as well as quite a few others, so I immediatly figured that was the cause.

So Cazz, don't forget to look into that setting as well. But if memory serves me well you do get a message then telling you that info was suppressed to not spoil anything, so it might still be scraper-script related. Guess you'll find out if you already moved forward with IMDb+ installation.
