I would like to raise a possible bug with Media Portal. Basically, the main use of my HTPC is for Music, and so I have the latest SVN with ASIO4ALL installed to get bit perfect playback of my FLAC encoded CD's. My problem is that as this is music I dont want my TV on all the time its playing (wasting electricity and possibly risking screen burn). However, when I turn the TV off, the music stops! I have tried to debug it so far and have narrowed it doen to media portal, as: 1) Windows Media Player, Winamp and Foobar continue to play the music with the screen off. 2) A DVD played in Media Portal will continue to play the sound after turning the TV off (which is even stranger, as you need the TV to watch a film!) 3) When turning the TV back on, Media Portal has actully stopped playback. You have to start the track off again. I use an HDMI connection via a DVI>HDMI converter. Audio is via the SPDIF header of the montherboard to a RCA backplate and on to an external Roksan DAC. I do not believe this to be a hardware issue due to the reasons above. Any help & personal experiences appreciated.:thx: [/QUOTE]
