Synopsis::

MyTV has died since installing RC3. The error log looks useful but I can't make any sense of it. Any pointers on the steps to rectify.

Cheers

Update

Installed latest cvs. TV now works but the picture quality is terrible. Looks like a really low bandwidth mpeg. Unwatchable.

Step in the right direction though. Will keep applying the cvs builds before the last resort of reverting back to RC2. I don't have anything that I need to record yet so have some breathing space timewise.

Update II

Got to the bottom of the quality issue. Installation of RC3 has wiped the Quality settings area of the Capture Card properties in Configuration. Fiddling with the settings improves things.

:?: What are the recommended settings for Average bitrate, Peak bitrate and VBR for the four different quality settings. I've had a look around the wiki but couldn't find anything.

Getting there :D
