I've just downloaded and installed MP2 but there's no option to view TV. I've worked out I need to configure a TV server tool but I only have MP2 and a Service Monitor. When I installed MP2 I chose Custom Install to put everything on my D: drive but there was no TV server installation even there.

Help, please?

Ok, I tried that. From the installation instructions I got as far as:

"Copy the subfolders of "SlimTV-NativeTv" into C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal (contained are both MP2-Client + MP2-Server components)."
No problem, I did that.

"Start the MP2-Server."
I clicked on MP2Server.exe and got a message box:
"Cannot start from command line or a debugger. A Windows Service must first be installed (using installutil.exe) and then started with the ServerExplorer, Windows Services Administrative tool or the NET START command."

Was there already a SlimTV plugin installed in the Plugins folder? If there was, it needs to be removed so as the system will know to use the Native.
The Native version of MP2 TV has a separate Setup so you need to start it.
In the Native plugin folder is a Setup.exe. It will allow you (like MP1) to configure the card and scan for channels.
Once that is completed you can start the MP2-Client (MP2-Server has no build in configurations at this time), and from within MP2-Client you can go thru the Setup to locate the server and make the connections.
Once that is done, TV should start

I don't know, I've already copied in the folders I downloaded so I can't tell what was already there.

    In the Native plugin folder...
There is no folder called Native anything.

I've downloaded and installed 1.8.0 which I see has got a TV server setup tool but I think I'll uninstall both and try and get MP2 working from your instructions. If that fails, I'll scrap that and go back to 1.8.0.

Ok, I started again from scratch. I re-merged the SlimTV folders and clicked on SetupTV.exe and now I get a message

"TV service not found. (Maybe you lack user rights to access / contr

Type valid hostname for tv server (or exit application)"

The default hostname is localhost but it won't accept that.
And yes, this is using "Run As Administrator".[DOUBLEPOST=1404668275][/DOUBLEPOST]This just isn't working at all. I'll go back to 1.8.0.
