I am having trouble watching TV with mediaportal. I can find all the stations in the setup, and then they all work in MP, but randomly some stations stop working. For example this morning I could only watch channel 7HD (yes in Australia), and 9HD and 10HD came p with no TV signal. I then restarted MP and got 7 and 10 working but still no 9. Then 30min later restarted again and 9 was working but not 7 or 10.

Problem seems to be very intermittant. The wierd thing is, TV is working find in DVICO's own software :(

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hawk

This sounds like your TV signal strength is marginal, or the centre frequencies of the channels are incorrect.

What readings do you get for signal strength and quality when you use the Dvico application?

Check the frequency of each channel in MediaPortal Setup and make sure that it is identical to what the Dvico application reports. I have seen instances where MediaPortal will have the frequency wrong by 125 KHz (ch 9 will be 191, 500 instead of 191,625) and this can make reception intermittent ... :(

Well DVICO reports all stations as 100%. Ok thanks i will compare the frequencies when I get time later.

    Cheers
