No Video/Audio Detected (work around!) (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

I am new in MP+TVE3, but I love it so much, thanks for you great works. I tried few SVN but the channel switch problem (no video/audio detected or TVservice crashed etc.) killed me. I spent the week to try different version but no luck.

I saw bigflause 's post and mentioned TVE 16619+ MP SVN 16617 works for him. I tried this combo today and basically the change channel problem looks like a little bit better. But still have the old issue some time. Finally I figure out if I turn the TV OFF before I change channel, I have no problem at all, tested between 82 / 91, SD & HD, it works like charm!!

I am not sure if this work around apply to other SVN version but it's worth to try, please let me know if this work for you or not and please provide the MP / TVE version.

My environment:
XP SP2
Hauppauge NOVA-S
ATI 9550 DVI -> HDMI (TV)
MP SVN 16617
TVE3 16619
NVIDIA PUREVIDEO CODEC
Newest EMUNATION (Dec 19)

Wish this can be provide more info to developers to provide a permenant fix.

It would help if you could post
- TsWriter.log
- TV.log
trying an actual svn rev. when the "NO audio/video" message appears.
I have an idea:
Maybe tswriter waits for more than one audio stream to arrive and only one comes in.
The logs should show that.

Thanks for your reply. I can't test the newest SVN now, the log is based on TVE3 16619 & MP SVN 16617. There are 3 scenario on the zip file, you will see the description on the folder name after you unzip it.

it looks TVE is tring to detect the audio, then wait for ever.

At least #1 shows that no heartbeat was received and so the user has been kicked off which stopped timeshifting.
Somehow mp freezed while waiting and didn't send any heartbeats
